Details Required for iOS App Build and Setup

If you have ordered our "iOS Mobile Application - iPhone and iPad", then after completion of your order, you would have received an email with the subject like: "Details required for Service(s) ordered by you.". Please follow the instructions mentioned in that email to provide us the details required for building and setting up your community's iOS (iPhone and iPad) App.

 

For your convenience, we are also listing below the details required.

 

Please initiate a Support Ticket from your SocialEngineAddOns Client Area by choosing the Product as: "iOS Mobile Application - iPhone and iPad" and with the Subject: "Details for iOS App Build and Setup" and send us the following details for setting up and building your iOS App:

 

1) App Title: The localized name of your app as it appears on the store. The app name must be at least two characters and no more than 75 bytes, assuming single-byte characters.

 

2) Bundle Display Name: This is the text that shows up under your app icon on an iPhone or iPad.

 

3) Description: Descriptions are limited to 4000 single-byte characters. The description should be in plain text, with line breaks as needed. HTML formatting isn’t recognized. Make sure to check your text for spelling or grammar errors.

 

4) Language: The language of the metadata.

 

5) Keywords: One or more localized keywords that describe your app. Separate search terms with commas. At least one keyword of greater than two characters is required. You can provide up to 100 bytes of content. Your app is searchable by app name and company name, so you do not need to duplicate these values in the keyword list. Names of other apps or companies are not allowed.

 

6) App Header's Color Code [Choose the color code from here: http://www.colorpicker.com /, using the color picker. This will be the color of the header of your App. We will be using this color as the main one for the theme and branding of your app.]

 

7) Support URL: The support website you plan to provide for users who have questions regarding the app (You can also provide the URL of the "contact" page of your website). The support URL must lead to actual contact information so that your users can contact you regarding app issues, general feedback, and feature enhancement requests. The URL can specify a localized site.
Include the entire URL, including the protocol. For example, http://support.example.com.

 

8) Marketing URL (optional): The website (web page) where users get more information about the app. The URL can specify a localized site.

9) Privacy Policy URL (optional): A URL that links to your company's privacy policy. Privacy policy URLs are required for all apps that offer auto-renewable or free subscriptions and for apps that are set to Made for Kids. Customers see this URL on their invoice and on the subscription confirmation email they receive.

 

10) Copyright (required): The name of the person or entity that owns the exclusive rights to the app, preceded by the year the rights were obtained (for example, 2014 Example, Inc.). The copyright symbol is added automatically.

 

11) Primary Category (required) / Secondary Category (optional): The categories that best describe the app you're adding.

13) App Review Contact Information: Contact information of the person in your organization who should be contacted if the App Review team has any questions or needs additional information.

1) Large App Icon: The large app icon is displayed for your app on the App Store and, if needed, is used to feature your app on the App Store. iOS app icons need to meet the following requirements:
- 1024 x 1024 pixels (don’t scale up smaller artwork, because this could appear pixelated and blurry)
- 72 dpi, RGB, flattened, no transparency
- High-quality JPEG, TIFF, or PNG image file format. ZIP-compressed TIFF files can't be used.

Note: While submitting your App to the App Store, we will take and post screenshots of your App for the App listing. You will be able to change them easily as per your choice from your iOS Developer Account.

 

We also recommend you to go through Apple's App Store Review Guidelines: https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/ to see what all content is permissible for your iOS app.

 

We will be submitting your App to the Apple iTunes App Store within 24 to 72 hours of receiving ALL the above details from you, and will be providing the ".ipa" app installer file to you.
